Sometimes I forget how beautiful Ireland is. I went to Renvyle in Galway recently, I was so homesick for my own country. We drove around Connemara and after every corner of the road or every time you blinked the scenery severed you picture perfect ‘wish you were here’ postcards. It was heaven on earth. No matter how grey or bright, changeable or still the weather is, our stunning island will always remain just that.

This painting is of how beautifully grey one of the morning there was. I stood in the sea watching the sky fascinated as the rain passed me by.
